TESTIMONIALS
"It seems to me a fairly complete course with detailed information that is very necessary for its application in engineering works. The interactive way that they apply to the development of the contents is of high quality and commits me to continue attending the topics. I hope that the following courses be the same and give that plus that characterized them in this course to acquire the geotechnical criteria that current works demand. I really liked the didactics of the course. The content of the course contains what I expected. The academic follow-up is better than in a face-to-face course. The CGI virtual platform is very good"

BRIEF SUMMARY
The course will provide the theoretical and
practical foundations of the geomechanical software RocData from Rocscience,
which is a software for determining resistance parameters of soil and rock mass
through laboratory analysis, triaxial test or shear test. The program can fit
the linear Mohr-Coulomb failure criteria, and three other failure criteria:
nonlinear failure criteria, generalized Hoek-Brown failure criteria, Barton
Bandis, and the stress Power Curve model to test the data. This feature,
combined with an intuitive interface, fast response to user input, and
immediate plotting of stress curves, facilitates parametric studies of stress
behavior. In the workshop course, the review of the main commands will be developed,
as well as the analysis of the results.
Software's used in the course: RocData

BRIEF SUMMARY
One of the great problems of mining and/or civil works is the stability and design of the support of the excavations that are carried out.
In the course, the specialist will present practical cases to be able to define which will be the most appropriate method or system of fortification and support, according to the characteristics of the problematic area of the work that is defined to be fortified. To define the type of support, empirical methods such as geomechanical classifications will be used, as well as computer-assisted numerical methods. Finally, the operating mechanism and technical specifications of the main supports used in both mining and civil works will be reviewed.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
► Properly select and design supports to be used in excavations.
► They will also have the competence to know the operating mechanism of supports in underground excavations and their design parameters.
BENEFITS
► Valid course to access the international specialization diploma in underground and surface Geomechanics.
► Receive the specialist certification in underground and surface geomechanics.
► Train at the hands of a speaker with extensive experience in the subject.
► Receive materials for each unit such as slides, manuals and data that you can keep.
► Being able to make all necessary academic queries directly to the speaker.
► Freedom to access the course on the day and at the time you want, as well as to pause and go back the class as many times as necessary until you fully assimilate the knowledge provided.
► The costs are reduced compared to those of a face-to-face course, since the expenses incurred are lower.

► Access the database of the queries and answers of the participants, as well as the technical reports generated in each course.
TRAINING MODALITY
The modality presented is the “Virtual-OFFLINE” (Virtual asynchronous); in this you will develop a course every 30 days, which is made up of videos, materials, slides and questions to the speaker. At the end of each course, you must take an exam to pass it and move on to the next course.
You will be assigned the tutoring of a specialist and there will be no limitations in terms of access hours or consultations with the speaker, this promotes that you be trained efficiently. The hours dedicated to each module must be managed assertively to optimize the benefit. You will experience all of the above through our virtual campus, which will also allow us to monitor your progress.

BRIEF SUMMARY
The workshop course will offer technical support to mine and civil works operators so that they can make appropriate decisions, making use of the appropriate geotechnical information.
It will also provide underground mine operators with the necessary tools to assess the stability conditions of excavations and pillars in underground mines.
The topic of the most used empirical methods in practice to evaluate the complex interaction that exists between the geometry of the excavations and the nature and state of stresses of the rocky environment in which they are located will be developed.
A significant portion of the course will be devoted to the development and analysis of stability issues, for which participants are expected to contribute any issues or concerns they may have in their own operations.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
► Make decisions about estimating the stability of underground excavations and pillars.
► Develop and achieve a good understanding of the relevant field information that is required to make a good stability evaluation.
► Understand the influence rock mechanics has on the stability of planned excavations and the overall design of an underground mine and tunnels.
BENEFITS
► Valid course to access the international specialization diploma in underground and surface Geomechanics.
► Receive the specialist certification in underground and surface geomechanics.
► Train at the hands of a speaker with extensive experience in the subject.
