PRESENTATION

This diploma program aims to train engineers and geologists in the field of "Slope Stability," providing them with a solid understanding of the various methodologies commonly used for stability analysis in soils and rocks. Graduates of this program should be able to provide and verify the data used in analyses, validate research results, and subsequently make appropriate recommendations for corrective actions. To achieve this, participants will not only gain knowledge of computerized analysis techniques but also develop an understanding of structural geology, rock mechanics, and hydrogeology concepts. This will enable them to confidently assess whether the results are realistic.

BENEFITS

► Receive certification from the International Geotechnical Center as a specialist in Slope Stability in soils and rocks.

► Receive training from a speaker with extensive experience in the subject.

► Access to slides and materials for each module.

► Ability to make necessary academic inquiries through the CGI Virtual Campus forums.

► Choose the start date and progress through the diploma program at your own pace and schedule within the access period, with the option to pause and repeat videos as needed to fully grasp the material.

► Access to a network of professionals from various countries around the world. Our diploma program includes participation from technicians, university students, engineers, master’s students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and professionals related to the field.

► Access to the database of participants' queries and responses, as well as the technical reports generated in each module and the thesis projects.

CURRICULUM

► Module 1: Introduction to Slope Stability Analysis

► Module 2: Hydrology and Hydrogeology in Slope Stability and Types of Failure

► Module 3: Slope Stability Analysis in Rocks

► Module 4: Slope Stability Analysis in Soils

► Module 5: Stability Analysis Methods through Limit Equilibrium

► Module 6: Seismic Behavior of Slopes

► Module 7: Finite Element Methods for Slope Stability Analysis

TRAINING MODALITY

The modality presented is the “Virtual-OFFLINE” (Virtual asynchronous); in this you will develop a course every 30 days, which is made up of videos, slideshows, materials and questions to the speaker.

At the end of every module, the student must take an exam to pass it and move on to the next course.

You will be assigned the tutoring of a specialist and there will be no limitations in terms of access hours or consultations with the speaker, this promotes that you train efficiently. The hours dedicated to each module must be managed assertively to optimize the benefit.

You will experience all of the above through our virtual campus, which will also allow us to monitor your progress.

PARTICIPANTS:

Professionals and technicians who work in mining, construction and/or energy companies and are working in the areas of engineering, rock engineering, rock mechanics, planning, geotechnics, geomechanics, geology, mining safety and professionals who require greater knowledge her.

Likewise, professionals from mining contracting companies, infrastructure, consultants, university professors and students and the general public who are involved in the topic.
